2nd Mini Europe Rally

The MER '95 was held from 11^th to the 17^th of March. The start was on the holiday park "Vinkeloord".

After the checking in and technical inspections we immediately had to drive a slalom on the gravel parking place in front of the reception. With 50 Mini's there was no parking space anymore, only a swamp. This was the year Nanda and a friend drove in their cabriolet, which my co-driver Peter bought a few weeks before. 

remember we did a lot of maintainence during the rally on both cars. Therefore my Mini was always in top condition after the rally. There are always so many nice people who offer to help when you are"rebuilding" the car. In my case that was extremely necessary. Again a super rally, lots of fun with no sleep, but always with  a sense of satisfaction. Of course we lost the rally again by doing something stupid. Never the less father and son; Bolton& Bolton were the overall winners that year, they came all the way from Ireland.
