6th Mini Europe Rally

Held from 11th of April till the 18th of April and perhaps one of the toughest rally's ever held.Again we had something to celebrate, the 40th birthday of our beloved MINI.

So off we went to England where we visit the British Heritage Motor Museum in Gaydon. It was cold and it rained, but the scenery in the south of England is magnificent, so we took the weather for granted. But when the snow fell down, and all teams lost at least an hour on their schedule, we were happy as we sat in a nice pub called "the black horse".

Cap Griz Nez is breathtaking in the early morning, and there we took off for a long section towards Luxembourg. Again the weather gods hated us and snow was what we were given. A day at the racetrack in Venray completed this years rally.

A frightening moment was when we heard that the Kühn brothers made a cabriolet of their Mini. They promised they'd never do it again.

The prize giving in the Efteling hotel was a "fairytale" and the biggest fairy of all were the winners, again the Bolognesis.
