4th Mini Europe Rally

What had started as a hobby for Gerrit and Cate had became more serious. So I asked them several times to join the organisation. I had already put aside the idea of ever winning the MER, so joining the organisation I found a way to get even with all my former opponents. Finally Gerrit and Cate agreed with my interference and we decided on 3 starting places for the days of 17th to the 20^th of April.

We had three starting places the first in Switzerland, in the garage of Gregor Nick. The second started from the northern part of Germany at Mini Mannia, and the final one started in Holland at Ben van Leeuwen's Mini Centre. Ben is one of our loyal sponsors and he presented the overall classification cup. He was there for us with technical support for the first rallies.

All the starting places led us to Bern-Kastel-kues, Germany. Here we stayed in the beautiful Mosel Park Hotel.  We stayed here for a couple of nights, and drove through the Mosel area. We were a day in Spa francouchamps, to do a slalom.

 The next day we went to the Nürburgring. In the top of the classification it was thrilling, but the overall winners were Gregor Nick and Andy Dietschweiler. They won even though they had no fuel in the last metres of the last section. We had a nice party afterwards and we will never forget the wonderful music during dinner!
